To My Wife on Our 30th Anniversary

My dearest Sherry,

You have been my lover, my friend, my companion, and my partner since childhood. Your love for me has burned strong, never wavering, never failing.

Your warmth, your tenderness, your healing touch, your gentle presence, have ever strengthened me, encouraged me and kept me from despair.

As the years have passed, my love for you has grown, my sense of how special you are, and how precious. My love compels me to act. Your needs are my needs. Your fulfillment, my fulfillment. Your happiness, my happiness.

Everything I do for you is an honor to me, an opportunity and a joy. Every day I see you, every meal that I cook for you, every kiss that I give you, every night that I share with you, is a gift, yet another blessing I do not deserve, yet another memory I cherish.

I declare to all who read this that I love you with all my heart. I thank you for staying with me, for believing in me, for caring for me. I thank you for your beauty and for the beauty of the Lord that shines in you.

No matter how much longer we live, thirty years or three hundred, I look forward to them all, and I pray that I will be a blessing to you as much as you are to me.

I am yours for as long as I live.
